About Malena:

As a founder of Strategic HR Alliance, Malena Orozco-Otero leverages her 18 years of experience in the area of Human Resources. Her goal is to help clients establish a working environment where employees feel valued and are developed to their full potential, resulting in efficient and effective teams which increase productivity in an organization. Her specialties include leadership coaching, training and workshops, recruitment, and compliance.
Malena’s broad industry knowledge stems from a career spent working at PUC Schools (Partnerships to Uplift Communities), a Charter School Management Organization, The Walt Disney Company, Adecco, and others. Her background in both the public and private sectors translates into a unique perspective on how human resources can drive every organization’s success.
Malena brings a unique understanding and knowledge of federal, state, California Education Code, and charter authorizer’s compliance regulations. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with others so they may grow and increase their effectiveness in all they do.

Career Experience:

A John Maxwell certified coach, teacher, and speaker; Malena conducts workshops, seminars and coaching to aid in personal and professional growth. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from California State University, Los Angeles and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Woodbury University.
Before founding Strategic HR Alliance, Malena served as the Chief of Human Capital Development with PUC Schools (Partnerships to Uplift Communities) where she established and led the human resources department for this charter school management organization. For more than ten years, Malena played an integral role in the company’s growth from 150 employees and six charter schools to now more than 700 employees at 16 charter schools.
Throughout her stay at Disney, she worked in several departments as part of the Human Resources team where she participated in the planning of re-organizations, implementing new systems, performance management, succession planning, acquisitions and many more components of HR.
As a Branch Manager for Adecco, she honed her skill sets in assessing and determining clients’ talent needs. She has assisted companies with developing recruitment plans and identifying candidates who will be successful in an organization.
